*Photo Caption:*		Shown here at Marshall Point Lighthouse is Minnie Scovill Allen (sister of Connie Scovill Small) with her husband Charles Whitten Allen. Lighthouse keeper Charles W. Allen had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Lighthouse Service and the U.S. Coast Guard. Between 1911 and 1946, he served at the following Maine lighthouses: Boon Island, Avery Rock, Eagle Island, Doubling Point, and his last assignment was at Marshall Point Lighthouse where he served from 1933 to 1946.
