This painting by Andrew Winter of the Faulkingham children at Christmastime at Maine’s Monhegan Island Lighthouse gained notoriety for the children when it became a Hallmark greeting card. Children Frederick and Eugene Faulkingham are shown hauling the Christmas tree up to the lighthouse while Cynthia is shown by the gate pulling a sled with her brother Lee along for the ride.
