The tombstone of lighthouse keeper Jacob Henry Gibb at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, Michigan featured an engraved image of Michigan’s Crisp Point Lighthouse. Underneath the image of Crisp Point Lighthouse are the letters L.H.K., which stands for Light House Keeper, and below that his name J.H. Gibb. Over the years, some government officials must have thought he didn’t know how to correctly spell his name, because they often spelled his last name with an “s” for Gibbs.
