Frederick Dillon Sr. proudly shows off his youngest son, Fred Dillon Jr., on the veranda of their San Juan Lighthouse Depot home in 1923. Of him, Frederick wrote, “Baby Fredito, Jr. was an energetic, restless, little scamp who kept his nurse busy caring for him to see that he did not throw his expensive shoes in the water just to see them splash as he was taken out in his Go-Cart along the marginal wharf.” Fredito grew up to serve in WW II and saw action in the Battle of the Bulge and worked for United Airlines for 43 years.
