In October of 2011 in Port St. Joe, Florida, the FLA displayed the $103,337 in grant checks that were presented that day to various Florida lighthouse groups. People in the photo with all the checks include: Ken Smith (president FLA at the time), Al King (VP Grants FLA at the time), and Wanda Mayo and Ron Ecker (District Commissioners of FLA). Pictured receiving checks are representatives from the St. Joseph Historical Society, Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation, Pensacola Lighthouse Association, St. George Lighthouse Keepers Museum, Barrier Island Parks Society (Gasparilla Rear Range Light), Carrabelle Lighthouse Association, and Cedar Keys Lighthouse Association.
