At low tide a U.S. Air Force helicopter was able to land on the sand bar and deliver rescue equipment to the Royal Navy frogmen. However, the bodies of the crew had all been swept to sea. At low tide, remains of the ship can still be seen to this day. Back to the edition of: September 2009
